Education & Digital Literacy Initiatives
We believe education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We support students by providing school stationary, books, and materials for children with special needs. Our educational programs extend beyond the classroom with after-class tutoring sessions and language proficiency training. To prepare children for the modern world, we are also launching digital literacy programs to teach basic computer skills.
Economic Empowerment for Guardians
To ensure sustainable family development, we empower destitute mothers and guardians through vocational and business skill training. We don't just provide knowledge; we offer start-up capital to help them launch and manage their own small businesses, moving families toward financial independence and long-term self-sufficiency.
Dedicated Social Advocacy & Monitoring
Our impact is sustained through consistent engagement and monitoring. Our social workers conduct regular home visits to check on the well-being of every beneficiary and provide guidance to families. This advocacy ensures that the specific needs of each child are being met and that our programs are adapted to solve real-world challenges as they arise.
Financial & Basic Needs Support
We provide a vital safety net for highly vulnerable children (HVC) through a monthly financial support model. This direct assistance empowers families to secure essential necessities like housing and food, ensuring that economic instability and inflation do not stand in the way of a child's basic well-being. Our program also includes rational support, providing items such as teff, rice, and oil to combat malnutrition when needed. Image.

Fikre Charitable Organization (FCO) is a community-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families through comprehensive support programs.
Our initiatives include recreational activities, sports development, nutrition assistance, and community meal programs.
